In September 2021 Camden’s Cabinet approved a strategy for launching its New Homes for Small Sites Programme, to focus on exploring opportunities to build new affordable homes on underused council-owned land, without requiring any demolition of existing homes.

Camden Council will be calling on residents to have their say in the delivery of new affordable homes by asking them to suggest small sites on existing estates where potential new homes can be built.

Camden will soon be starting conversations with residents on some estates that have already been identified as offering the potential to build new homes.

Camden will publish its outcomes of the Community Call for Ideas and identify any opportunities for further Local Estate Conversations in response to these outcomes.
